May 17, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm: Annual Spring Orchid Yard Sale! Stop by the shop for a great selection of orchids at ridiculous prices! We will have several local orchid growers offering their plants for sale.. A great way to find some unusual plants, at bargain prices! 9am to 5pm. May 24, 1:00 pm: How not to kill an Orchid! We will cover the basics of orchid care and culture, in an easy to understand, casual atmosphere designed to allay your fears of growing an orchid, reveal the mystery of orchids and give you the confidence to try for the first time, or simply try again! $10.00, sign up here June 7, 2:00 pm: Divide & Conquer! We will discuss the pros and cons of dividing orchids, as well as the whens and whys as well! Oh.. And we will definitely discuss and participate in the HOWs! Attendees are encouraged to bring and orchid they want to divide. No monsters, please. $10.00, sign up here. $10.00, sign up here June 21, 9am to 5pm: Do-It-Yourself Repotting Clinic—weather permitting, we’ll have the tents setup out back and supplies galore for you to come and repot your own orchids, with us standing by to lend a hand, or give advice. Great for those who need an extra hand, don’t want to make a mess at home, or don’t have the supplies handy! We’ll also be on hand all day to do your repotting for you.. No appointment necessary. Regular repotting fees apply. June 28, 1:00 pm: Mounting Clinic! We’ll explore the world of mounting orchids, talk about culture differences between mounted and potted orchids, and have a hands on experience in mounting. Each attendee will be able to mount one small orchid (supplies included, but not plants). Mountable plants will be available for purchase prior to class, or attendees may bring their own. Please check with us at info@quarteracreorchids.com, to make sure that the plant you want to bring is appropriate for this medium. Space is limited. $15.00, sign up here.
